Miro.com: get everyone on the same page

How are we supposed to “get everyone on the same page,” if we never show them the page in our minds?

Miro.com is the best time-saving digital white boarding tool that we’ve found. Here’s why:

Spreadsheets were never meant for brainstorming and sharing ideas.

That’s what whiteboards and sticky notes were for. I’ve even used the Post-it Notes app to take photos of actual sticky notes on a whiteboard, then reorganize them digitally.

But most of my meetings are online, with people in multiple cities or countries, and we aren’t going back to a whiteboard in an office, any more than a dot matrix printer.

It’s fast and easy to learn. Anyone can figure it out.

It looks like a regular whiteboard with sticky notes. You make a note, then move it around.

I use it with clients on discovery calls, and I ask “would you mind if I shared my screen and took notes while you talk?” This communicates that I’m listening, and shows that I’m hearing and visualizing the owner’s workflow and issues to solve.

As I add notes, I move them around in real-time, so that the owner’s vision takes shape on the page.

The owner gets to see her whole company and process mapped out, in a few minutes. Then when we hang up, I can share the live link to the whiteboard…which she can immediately share with her people: “hey, let me show you what I was trying to explain last week.”

Try it for free here, but for $15/month, it saves me thousands in time, and is the single best app I’ve bought.
